Biography

Caspar van Salee is a part of US Black heritage.

Caspar van Salee was born roughly about 1690. He is the son of Frans Abrahamszen and probably his wife Lucretia Hendricks.^[1][2][3]

Caspar is named in his father's will dated May 3, 1737.^[1]

Caspar married Johanna Cromwel on November 8, 1746 at the New York Lutheran Church. They lived in Hakkinsack at the time.^[2][3][4] They had one known child.

1. Annatje was baptized July 28, 1747 at the Lutheran Church in New York City.^[3]
